Description

The Pentair WhisperFlo High Performance Pump (EC-015583) is an excellent choice when strong hydraulic capacity and durability are priorities. It combines a robust 1 HP motor, a well-optimized hydraulic flow path, and heavy-duty construction suitable for residential in-ground pool use. With dual-voltage support and standard porting, this model installs with minimum fuss and supports long-term reliability.

Pro Tip

Before powering the pump, ensure your plumbing suction side is free of air leaks and your strainer basket is clean. For maximum operating life, keep the lid clear and inspect the seal annually. If you later decide to migrate to variable-speed operation for energy savings, retain the industrial footprint of this pump when sizing replacements.

Installation Tips

Install on a level, vibration-isolated pad. Ensure wiring matches the selected voltage and breaker rating per the manual. Use 2 plumbing with minimal elbows to reduce head loss. Prime the pump by filling the strainer basket and closing the lid securely. After start-up, check for leaks, verify full basket flow, and monitor motor temperature during initial runtime.
